This replacement pump will replace the pump included as part of your OEM assembly at vehicle manufacture. But the Module hardly ever fails (if your gas gauge works, the Module is usually fine and reusable). That's one of the reasons you're saving--we don't insist you replace the whole Assembly. We just provide a replacement for the failed electric pump.
